María Cecilia Meroño trained as a National Professor of Drawing and Painting. He studied at the María Medici School of Contemporary Jewelery and later specialized in the History of Art and Jewelery.

She teaches Art and Jewelry courses at the José Hernández Museum and privately.

She is part of the La Ronda Contemporary Jewelry collective.

I live in San Antonio de Areco. I was trained at the National School of Fine Arts and I am self-taught in the craft of Craftsman. I work with pieces of steel, silver, wood, acrylic for their purity and style.

Being an Artisan represents, above all, a choice: it means respect for the trade itself, its history, what it points to as a social and cultural fact. Thus, any handmade object, the smallest, whatever the discipline, has all these qualities for me.

I value metals for their great expressive capacity and durability, since the passage of time and use also tend to give them a particular personality.

I was born in Buenos Aires, I have dedicated myself to Ceramic Art and Crafts for more than 30 years. My inspiration reflects in drawings a tribute to Latin American women.
I have exhibited my work at the Mataderos Fair in Buenos Aires, along with other Master Craftsmen, for more than 10 years. Currently I participate in different Handicraft Fairs in the City of Buenos Aires. My pieces are part of private collections in Argentina and abroad.

For me, making jewelry is an opportunity to continue growing. I try to capture many ways of communicating messages about bodies that explore universes. I think, I think I do. With costumes and masks that invite you to look, listen, listen, laugh, thank and reflect.

I was trained in unforgettable exploration workshops in various techniques and materials: Japanese lacquer, polymer clay, wax modeling, chiselling, felt, filigree, textile and paper jewelry, resin, metal weaving, ceramics. I am deeply grateful to all the trainers I have had and to the Escuela de la Joya de Buenos Aires

I am from Buenos Aires, Ramos Mejía, I started at a very young age between 10-12 years old at my father’s Rodolfo Grandi workshop , master craftsman, first in a playful and discovery way, then it was he who taught me the techniques and ways of working the leather, thus achieving unique textures and wefts.
Then, together with my brother Luciano, we continued the art that he instilled in us, giving rise to our imprint, providing the imaginative designs and the neatness in the detail.
Everything starts mainly from leather as a raw material, but what gives life to it are the inks, chiselling, gouging and the different dyeing techniques that achieve this particularity in the pieces.
Crafts, design and drawing are my way of expressing what I do, in a way, the privilege of making a living from what I like.

Gisela Martínez, clothing designer, dedicated to silk and natural dyeing techniques.

At the Puro Diseño Fair 2015 She launched Indómita Luz, the contemporary jewelery firm made with cocoons of silkworms.
The particularity of the cocoons is their brightness, lightness and the fixation of natural colors, it seems fragile but it is not!
The colors are achieved with natural dyes and colorants obtained from yerba mate, onion peel, cochineal, achiote seed, indigo, saffron, among others. Obtaining own tones, whose process is carried out in his own workshop in Claromecó, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I started crocheting at age 4 as a family tradition inherited from my grandmother. Later, when my mother saw my interest in knitting, she taught me knitting and at the age of 8 I knitted my first pullover. I studied psychology and thanks to a colleague and friend I got to know "the loom", which sparked a new passion in my life: creating garments on a loom, combining techniques, textures, colors. After several courses I started to produce clothes and teach classes. My university studies helped me in the formation of groups. Today, after more than 15 years of activity, I continue to feel the same emotion and joy at the garment created or the achievement of my beloved students.

I currently live in Buenos Aires. I was trained in a technical education school.

For years I have been dedicated to research and the fusion of different materials and disciplines for the artisanal elaboration of jewelry.
The materials I use are Silver, wood, stones, and axis deer antlers.

I choose these materials for their aesthetics, nobility and durability.

In art and trade I find a beautiful path of self-knowledge and a way of expression in life.

I was born in Buenos Aires in 1979, daughter of artisans. I studied Design
of Image and Sound at the UBA and trained as an actress and playwright with different teachers. I have been dedicated to the design and handcrafting of leather handbag for 20 years.

Pottery is communication, and that is why this is my profession. In my pots the history of its creation is visible. The grooves left by the fingers on the walls tell that they were made on a potter's wheel. If there are stamped traces it is because I enamel by immersion, and if the enamel drips - it always drips - so it remains.
I develop my own glazes from natural materials, mostly red clays like the soil where I find them. An electric oven brings the pieces to 1270 * C, turns the clay into stone, and delivers an ideal quality object to be used on a daily basis.

I was born on January 12, 1971 in the town of Ramos Mejía, Province of Buenos Aires. I am married and have 3 children.
I received training in drawing and painting and I studied part of the Audiovisual Communication career at the University of Morón.
For 21 years I have been developing the craft of craftsman and sculptor, using wood as the main material and exploring and incorporating other types of materials into my works.

I have participated in numerous exhibitions, shows, fairs and competitions at the national and international level.
I worked as an instructor for the "Artisan Techniques Recovery Program" sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts.
I have ventured into the elaboration of three-dimensional figures for the production of audiovisual content.
I participated as Prosecutor of the Fair of Artisan Masters of the Province of Santa Fe.
I am a founding member of the Fair of crafts, plastic and design Taller Arte Pasaje San Lorenzo, which has been held in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Telmo since 2001.

I studied architecture, dance, and aerial acrobatics. I represent the movement of the body in figures made with papier-mâché. What is related to the world of the circus is my source of inspiration. I was awarded the first prize of the National Fund for the Arts in 2010

I was born and raised in Bahía Blanca, I have lived in Buenos Aires for several years. I have not stopped spending my summers on the coast of Río Negro.- When I approached contemporary jewelery, I found Jorge Castañón's workshop, there I felt that I could use something very mine: Collect objects, wood and glass polished by the sea of the Patagonian coast, stones from its beaches, and objects found in the city, as well as silver, copper and alpaca. Thanks to this discovery and this combination of materials, I have managed to unite my parts and transform them into handcrafted pieces that speak of me. This journey has allowed me to achieve my own language

I was born in Buenos Aires, I have dedicated myself to Textile Art and Crafts for more than 30 years: it all started in the workshop of my mother, Mimí Bujalter.
I specialize in weaving in multiple frames, gobelins, application of new materials, and fusion of techniques.

My work on Applied Textile Art has obtained, among other distinctions: UNESCO Recognition of Excellence for Crafts of the Southern Cone 2010

Argentina, visual artist. I studied Fine Arts, Animation Film, sculpture in different workshops, and contemporary jewelry with Jorge Castañon and Jorge Manilla. I have some awards and mentions in cinema and in contemporary jewelry, in Argentina, and abroad. I made several collective exhibitions of contemporary jewelry in museums and galleries in Argentina and abroad.

My little jewels are in different galleries, museum shops and private collections around the world. I call them toy jewels… portable poetry… portable sculptures… jewels denounce… jewels that say…
The toy jewels are playful, they have movement ... there are the toy horses, the cyclists, the friends ... they have wheels, or move their legs, or look at each other, sometimes they hug, or sail in boats, alone or accompanied, in love ships .

I have series that talk about the feminine and sorority. They started from me, from my body, moving and modeling in wax. Transiting emotional states, sensations, finding liberating gestures, thus are born the dancers, the women of the land, the pachamamas, the machis (magicians and wise women), the liquid women (who travel emotions and creativity), those who fly (pure poetry) , those of fire (centaurs that fight), those that run, we are always empowered ...
At this moment I am saying the things that happen in the streets, repressions, demonstrations, people who live on the street and social struggles in my country.

The people who wear my pieces also have a concept, they identify themselves, they are jewelery, amulets, jewels that protect, special jewels that do good, connect us with tenderness, play and poetry…. that's why I say so ... portable poetry.

 

I studied Anthropology at the UBA, thus initiating an approach to the expressions of native cultures that I could later take to textiles. The traditional techniques that I learned I use in the design of pieces with a contemporary imprint, with special emphasis on the use of color and textures and the combination of the loom with various genres.

I feel, with my works, that I am making a small contribution to the recognition and enhancement of textile heritage as part of a rich and varied cultural expression. In addition, anthropology allows me to understand present and past worldviews that I try to capture in each design.

Bass player. Double bass player. Composer. Fixer. Teacher. He has 4 released discs. His first book, "The Electric Bass in Latin American Music", was declared of Cultural Interest by the Secretary of Culture of the Presidency of the Nation.

Since 1995 he has been working giving private classes, workshops, clinics in Buenos Aires and different cities in Argentina. He participated in National and International Festivals and was awarded several times for his musical work.
